The Houston Rockets have had a difficult past few seasons. They lost one of their greatest players ever, James Harden, to contract issues a couple of seasons ago. However, the fanbase has one huge thing to look forward to. The team has a great young core comprising names like Jalen Green, Alperen Sengun, Amen Thompson, and many others. Recently, a 2-time blocking champion commented on one of Houston’s young guns.

Myles Turner appeared on a podcast and had a lot to say about Green. Interestingly, he also dropped huge praise on the youngster for achieving what many others couldn’t do.

According to Myles Turner, Jalen Green is the first high school basketball star of the social media era to make it big into the NBA. He also revealed his happiness in seeing the 21-year-old develop.“The one kid I would say who lived that hype, and I’m actually impressed how he handled this is Jalen Green. Jalen Green came in and there was a lot of hype“, said Turner on the Run your Race podcast. He further reveals, “Watching (Jalen) develop into the player he is, that’s hard, bro. He’s probably one of the first social media (era high school players) to end up being that guy”. 

The 2021-22 All-Rookie has had a decent start in the NBA so far. In his first season, he had 17.1 points, which earned him a selection to the All-Rookie list. Green greatly improved his performance in his sophomore year, averaging 22.1 points while starting all games for his team. The Rockets have quietly built a good team with the additions of Fred VanVleet and World Cup bronze medalist Dillon Brooks. The Rockets can really make a decent playoff run considering they keep all their best players fit for the entirety of the season.
