It was none other than Knicks legend Carmelo Anthony. Former Knicks trainer, Chris Brickley recently revealed Leonard’s request before his breakout season in a podcast.

Featuring on the recent episode of?Hoops Chat Podcast,?Brickley recalled?Klaw’s?request. He said,?“This was before he was an All-Star. He came up to me and was like, ‘I want to learn Melo’s moves.’ ” Even though Melo didn’t win any rings, he has inspired a lot of ballers in the town with his domination on the court. The trainer continued, “I asked Melo, he said, ‘Sure.’ We worked, and [Kawhi] had a breakout season. Won a championship, was an All-Star, was [Finals MVP], and I was like wow.”

The trainer further revealed that Leonard’s offensive game improved after he inculcated?Melo’s moves into his game.
