His comment, “World champion of what?” to mock the stature of the league turned nearly the entire nation against him. The former teammates of the 2016 NBA championship-winning squad seemed to take the matters lightly. They displayed immense faith in the capabilities of the Mavs to win the game. One aspect still remains under question.
