The wedding bells have rung for the Memphis Grizzlies star, Derrick Rose. The former MVP has added to the offseason of wedlocks, joining 2-time All-Star, Trae Young and reigning MVP, Joel Embiid. However, the Chicago Bulls legend had an uncanny officiator for the wedding, his own former teammate.

Derrick Rose has tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend, Alaina Anderson. The couple have been linked since 2016, when Rose was still playing for the Minnesota Timberwolves. Their wedding comes after the former MVP popped the question back in 2021. However, while the couple celebrated their joyous moment, Rose’s gesture towards his former teammate showed the bond they have shared over the years.

Noah and Rose go way back to when the 3-time All-Star was drafted to the Bulls in 2008. Former Defensive Player of the Year, Noah, served as the team’s starting center at the time. The two shared terrific chemistry on the court which also translated to a wonderful friendship over the years. That bond prompted Noah to take big role in Rose’s big moment.

But while Rose seemed over the moon with his wedding, his bond with his former Bulls buddy also became a major highlight of the event.

Derrick Rose came into the Bulls organization as the No.1 overall pick in the 2008 NBA Draft. However, Noah had joined the franchise just a year prior, as the 9th overall pick. The two almost began their career together and achieved major success in the NBA with the other by their side. The two also had an incredible pick-n-roll game that translated to the Bulls’ regular trips to the playoffs.

Their Bulls stint drew them closer than ever as they became very close friends. In fact, their friendship runs so deep that even Rose played a role in Noah’s wedding in 2022. Rose served as the photographer for Noah’s wedding with Brazilian model, Lais Ribeiro. Now, Noah returned the favor by officiating the former MVP’s wedding.
