Giannis made his podcasting debut in the latest episode of 48 Minutes with Ross Geiger, Bruce Bernstein, and Michael Freer. During the interview, Giannis was asked if he plans to stay with the Milwaukee Bucks for the rest of his career. The 2021 NBA Champion replied with a firm statement, “I want to be a winner.” Giannis claims he will stay with the Milwaukee Bucks as long as they have the same goal of winning another championship in mind. The 2-time MVP wants to win multiple championships, and according to him, other things do not matter, “Contracts, fame, status, comfort zone, does not matter to me.”

Giannis also claims that he is tired of hearing the same story of the Bucks winning the 2021 NBA championship against the Phoenix Suns. “I want to create new memories.” Giannis added. The Greek Freak has played for the Milwaukee Bucks since the beginning of his career and does not plan to go anywhere else if they win another championship, “As long as we are in for a championship… we are all good.”

Giannis Antetokounmpo and Co. were the favorites to win the championship in the 2022-23 season. But due to an injury in the first round of the playoffs and Jimmy Butler’s historic playoff run, the 8th-seed Miami Heat upset the No. 1-seed Milwaukee Bucks in just 5 games. “We played bad basketball.” Giannis said. Despite their star player’s injury, the Bucks should have been able to overcome the 8th-seeded team.

After a disappointing season, Giannis is hungry to return to the NBA court. He has not played much basketball this off-season because he was recovering from his injury. Getting back in shape, the Bucks superstar wants to play even in the pre-season games because he has a bitter taste in his mouth from the loss against Miami.
