In the history of the NBA, only a handful of prospects received hype like Zion Williamson did back in the 2019 draft. Till now, he has failed to live up to it for his team, New Orleans Pelicans, due to injuries and indiscipline. Recently, he was seen making potentially his best-ever comeback to the NBA with an insane body transformation.
All the fans, though, were not quite supportive of him on his current journey. A few were quick to let their frustration know as the 23-year-old received a mixed reaction upon his coveted return to the league.

Since joining the Pelicans in 2019, Zion has only played 114 NBA games, which is only 39.7% of the team’s games during that period. With glimpses of greatness and two All-star awards already, there has never been any question about his talent. The only criticism has been his lack of consistency.
This off-season, he is planning to change all of that with his workout routine. Recently, images of his praiseworthy body transformation surfaced on the internet. He looks fitter than ever before as he eyes to make a memorable comeback to the league since being sidelined earlier this year.

And that’s why NBA fans have expressed mixed feelings about his recent transformation.
How are the fans reacting to it?
Those workout images took the fans by surprise. One fan stated, “29 game season loading!!!,” still questioning his ability to stay fit throughout the season. “He be working hard for those 13 games he plays a year,” another commented, indicating the same. The theme of receiving criticism for missing games in the past was repetitive. A supporter said, “He’s been in the lab for a while,” criticizing him for not focusing on his body early on. Another fan raised a valid point stating, “We don’t care until he’s playing games”.
Despite the criticisms, there were voices in the comments in support of him too. “This is the best he’s ever looked,” someone commented in support of Zion. One fan tried to warn all the other NBA teams commenting, “Trouble… he looks phenomenal…”. A supporter tried to even predict his form for this season as he said, “He goin average 35 this year”. “He is looking much stronger and healthier,” another one commented as Zion Williamson shapes up for his potentially career-defining NBA season.
