The Western Conference is undoubtedly the more competitive stratum of the NBA. Last year teams fought neck-to-neck right until the very end of the playoffs. This is because stars like Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving made a move towards the Pacific late last season. The Phoenix Suns acquired Durant to bolster their chances of reaching the NBA finals. Unfortunately, that didn’t pan out how they hoped. Despite that, the Suns are looking good this season.

On the other hand, LeBron JamesLakers made a late playoff run reaching the NBA finals. In the aftermath, they have a well-structured team with stars like Austin Reaves adding depth to their roster. All things considered, one team has been really “disrespected” in the West. A Veteran NBA analyst issued a warning recently about their potential.

Sacramento Kings fans gathered at the Golden 1 Center for the team’s preseason home opener. And even though the Kings lost in overtime to the Golden State Warriors, fans expressed their excitement about seeing the Kings in action again. They primarily showered their excitement after the team’s successful run last season when they ended a 16-season playoff drought. Once again, fans have high hopes for another successful season this time.

However, the up-and-coming franchise hasn’t received much love in the media lately. Despite being a legitimate contender in the Western Conference, we seldom consider them among the top teams. More recently, veteran NBA analyst Mike Wilbon predicts otherwise. In an appearance on NBA half-time with Malika Andrews, Wilbon spoke his mind about the young team. “Talk about disrespect, no one even mentions the Kings in pact Western Conference.” He further added, “I have a crush on the Kings… Regular season, I think they can be one-seed in the West.”
