Even though Paul George joined late to the party, he joined it with a big bang. Over the last few days, the boxing fans had nothing to talk about apart from the upcoming Mike Tyson-Jake Paul match-up. Even though this match-up didn’t receive much reaction from longtime boxing fans, it sure did evoke a crazy response from the Los Angeles Clippers star.

In the latest episode of Podcast P with Paul George, he sat down with his regular podcast buddies and spoke about the trending boxing match. Even before diving deep into the debate, he sided with 57-year-old Tyson for the upcoming battle. Moreover, during the conversation, it came down to whether he would face either of them inside the ring. And while it was natural for any non-professional boxer to get scared to get inside the ring with Tyson, PG-13 agreed to it with a special request. He said, “To get in the ring with Mike Tyson… that sh*t is an Insurance”. However, he seemed pretty confident when it came to facing Jake Paul in the ring. But again, he had one condition attached here. George said, “If I had a year to train and I could fight Jake Paul. Yeah, I will fight Jake Paul.”

However, Paul George‘s buddies were quick to help him out. One of them warned him, saying that Paul could send him an email to set up the fight. That could be the last thing the Clippers would want. Currently, they are in the 4th seed of the Western Conference with a 41-22 record.

After a hard fight for the #1 seed, the LA side has found themselves in a sudden slump. The Clippers need to pull up their socks to get back in contention for the top-seed battle alongside the Nuggets, OKC Thunder, and Wolves. While some spoke in favor of the much-hyped game, some questioned the legitimacy of the much-hyped contest.

Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson – is it really worth a watch?

The fight, which is scheduled for July 20, evoked mixed reactions from fans. While the loyal boxing fans found it absurd, casual fans have drained all their attention into this. It’s a no-brainer that a match-up like this will involve tons of finances, but there is something that everyone needs to pay attention to, as per Celtics legend Paul Pierce.

Featuring on the latest episode of  The Truth Lounge, he said, “Jake Paul is just changing the game of boxing… now it’s about, who’s watching? Who’s getting the views?… Sports used to be unscripted. So now I’m like, it’s starting to look like everything is scripted now.”
