Devin Booker has no rust to shake off

Today, Both KD and Booker scored 31 points, with Booker coming back from a right calf injury that occurred earlier this month. However, Booker’s game didn’t seem like he had any warming up left to do. Although he missed the last 5 games, he still played with elevated potential that now stands justified by the Suns win.

However, this was not the first time since Booker sustained an injury.

Booker’s previous injuries

Last season was already giving a glimpse of this injury-riddled season for Booker. In a post-season game, Booker had a good start, however, he left Game 2 as the third quarter took off. Evidently, he was diagnosed with a grade 1 hamstring injury, which resulted in Booker missing the following three games.

Further, almost a year later on October 2023, Booker sprained his left ankle as he tweaked his left foot during the fourth quarter in a matchup against Golden State. This affected his play as the Suns lost to the Lakers. Unfortunately, he had to sit out with his left foot all sored up.

Now, with Booker’s return on the Hardwood, it’s a double celebration for the Suns as they have broken Minnesota’s 7-game winning streak. Despite being the NBA’s top defensive team, it got tough for the Wolves to slow down the Suns. On the other hand, the Suns had previously lost 5 out of 7 games, however, today took control at the beginning of the second quarter and there was no looking back.
