Ahead of the 2023-24 season, the Suns’ roster went through a lot of changes. Importantly, it has been under construction since the Kevin Durant trade last season. The team has lost stars like Chris Paul, Deandre Ayton, and several others. However, it wasn’t the big names that Devin Booker wanted to spectate from the courtside, but the rising stars, Cameron Johnson and Mikal Bridges. They both played their rookie season with the Suns and stuck with the franchise until they were traded out in the middle of the 2022-23 season.

The Phoenix Suns – roster depth

In the last few seasons, the Suns’ roster has always been criticized for its lack of depth. The pundits felt, the team entirely depended on the frontline star players. Moreover, it carried forward even after the inclusion of KD into the side. On the other hand, the team did face some hiccups when both point guards Booker and Beal missed out on initial games due to injury. In that sense, the absence of Bridges and Johnson further questioned the depth of the team. Given the fact that they both shouldered the Nets offensively for a win.

Above all, it wasn’t just D-Book witnessed from the courtside. The star comedian, Jason Sudeikis, also enjoyed the game.
