Team USA’s 2024 Olympic run was one of the most entertaining in history. The squad that featured multiple All-Stars and Champions won its 5th consecutive Gold for Team USA. Now, as many believe, fans might get to watch a documentary of this tour. However, Christmas seems to have come early after Devin Booker posted a 14-minute video of his entire Olympic journey! This compilation included videos from the locker room, medal ceremony, and more such moments alongside Steph, LeBron, Ant, and others. But one of the key moments of the video was when Booker indirectly asked Nike for a specific merch!

Now, this wasn’t Book’s first Olympic Gold. Devin was a key player during the Tokyo Olympics, where he went all the way alongside his teammate, Kevin Durant. Fast forward to today, after the Final against France, Booker’s friend Casey designed a logo for him with his tagline. Booker’s tagline has been “I’ll Do It” throughout the tour. And Casey did a pretty neat job designing his logo. It featured the nickname ‘Book’ with the two Gold medals in the name.

But it didn’t end there. Devin went on to ask Nike to prepare merch with the same logo. “Imma tell Nike I need that merch right now!” And rightfully so. The same logo will surely sell thousands of products considering how attractive it will be. D-Book was phenomenal in the Olympics, especially in the playoffs. Adding custom merchandise under his name would be quite the gesture from Nike.

Besides, there hasn’t been any unique merch from Nike that would complement Team USA’s success.

It will be interesting to see whether Nike considers adding Devin Booker’s special merch anytime soon or whether they release something keeping the top 3 big guns in mind and how Paris could’ve been their last outing. Till then, the Suns star will continue to rock the many colorways of his signature shoe.

Devin Booker’s contract with Nike runs through 2029

Earlier this year, Nike released the very first signature pair of kicks for Devin Booker, Nike Book 1. “Early on, we landed on the phrase ‘future classic,’” he said. “At the beginning of the design process, we landed on the idea of the shoe combining lifestyle and performance worlds. The goal was to create something that would be timeless,” the Suns’ star detailed the design inspiration behind his first shoe.

While this is just the first of many signature shoes, Booker and Nike still have about five more years to bring unique merch to the table. He first signed a deal with Nike in 2018 worth $50 million, however, the Suns star then signed an extension that would stretch their partnership till 2029!

Of course, signing an extension would mean more money for the taking, but in Booker’s case, the details of this endorsement deal aren’t released yet. Regardless, he will make around $60 million in the final year of his contract with Nike. As KD’s teammate prepares for the upcoming season, hopefully, he gets Nike to make custom merch for Team USA, if not an official release under his name.
