What’s Ayesha Curry Cooking?

In an interview at the Elevate Festival held in Toronto, Ayesha Curry talked about representation, motherhood and her new business venture. She especially opened up about cooking she fell in love as a preteen girl. She said, “I fell in love with food and my parents fostered that love and allowed me to get in the kitchen and get my hands dirty. But I didn’t know it was something that I could make a career out of because at the time there was no representation. I didn’t see anyone that looked like me, whether it was through television, the book space or the restaurant space”.

Ayesha also discussed her multi-million dollar business venture, Sweet July.

Sweet July is a health and wellness business that opened its first flagship store in Oakland, California in 2021. Ayesha describes Sweet July “as a feeling of happiness for me…  and I hope it will become a movement”.

Apart from cooking, Ayesha along with Stephen Curry use her resources to make the world a better place. The power couple’s Eat. Learn. Play. Foundation focuses on addressing critical issues affecting children and families, such as childhood hunger, education, and sports participation. Their initiatives involve providing healthy meals, education, and renovating basketball courts for underserved communities.
