Sometimes we can only wonder why a particular player did not have a longer stint, despite his proven caliber and deliverance for a team. So was the case with that LA Clippers guard who held the fort without Kawhi Leonard and Paul George, who were sidelined due to injuries. He averaged 17.8 points in a postseason, which could have enthralled any other team, but not the Clippers.
Players who bet on themselves get their due sooner than later, which was evident in the fan cry that wanted the second-year Nugget to get his due.
Reggie Jackson is a Baller.

Reggie Jackson is undeterred on the court. Regardless of who is with him or who is against him, he will be his aggressive best on the court. Not many players in the NBA would want to take the last shot, Reggie is not one of them. He will take that responsibility and will live with the results. Please watch the buzzer beater in the below video that was Stephen Curry like, which has made a fan exclaim, “Give This Man Some Minutes.,” in Reggie’s support.

This season, a lot would ride on Reggie if the Denver Nuggets have to repeat their success. Coach Mike Malone, who trusts his players, and backs them unconditionally, stuck with Bruce Brown as the backup point guard for the Nuggets last season. He, in fact, called him the “sixth starter.” And Bruce delivered for him in the biggest stage. But he is no longer with the Nuggets. And they need a backup for Jamal Murray. And they don’t have to look any further if they trust Reggie for that role.

Some players shine through the regular season and go dim when it goes to the elimination rounds. But there are a few players like Jimmy Buttler who would shine the brightest under blinding lights. In terms of talent, Reggie or Bruce Brown are no comparisons to Jimmy, but they play with the same mindset. And that’s what a contending team would want.
As for the Clippers, it is strange that they are going after James Harden to help them win a title. James Harden is a regular season highlight reel. He is no Jimmy Buttler to give away their future for their immediate success, as their stars, Kawhi and Paul George, are very injury prone.
