The Dallas Mavericks put up a good show against the Chicago Bulls. Luka Doncic and co. defeated the Bulls 114-105. With the win, the Mavs remain the only undefeated team in the Western Conference. The dunk specialist Derrick Jones Jr. scored 17 points in the game, with 5 rebounds, and 1 assist. What chiefly made the news, as always, was his gravity-defying dunk. This came against his former Bulls teammate Zach LaVine.

What did he say after the match? Did he feel bad for his ex-teammate?

When asked about his big put-back dunk, he gave a witty reply. In an X (formerly Twitter) post shared by Landon Thomas, the part can be seen. He was asked if he felt bad for LaVine, as the force he put was high during the dunk.

“Nobody boxed out… Honestly, I’m sorry to say it, I don’t even care if my mom’s there. If mom’s there, she gotta get blessed,” said Derrick. The 26-year-old said that he did not care who was present at that time. He went further to add that if his mom was present there, she’s got to be blessed. Fans cannot stop laughing after this humorous reply, though.
