The Boston Celtics have had a brilliant season so far, sitting at the top of the Eastern Conference. The team’s superstars’ Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown continued to churn in their best in every game. In that line-up, the team recently took a win against the Toronto Raptors in an away game. However, the Raptors’ loyal fan, rapper Drake, had something special to say about the Celtics star Payton Pritchard during the close game.

Drake fires shot at Celtics’ Payton Pritchard

During the Friday night game, Drake took up a seat at the commentators’ table and had a great time. The Raptors’ fan was confident of his words, as his side went toe to toe against the top-seeding side.

Even though the Celtics took home a 108-105 victory, the Canadian side held the lead for a considerable amount of time. During the fourth quarter, with less than 8 minutes into the game, the Raptors held a two-point lead and Drake took a shot at Pritchard via commentary.

Notably, Pritchard wasn’t even on the court when Drake fired a shot at him. He said, “Payton Pritchard’s out there looking like a Crypto scammer,” describing his performance.

The 25-year-old star came off the bench and had a tough 17-minute game time. He managed to drop 5 points with an underwhelming field goal record of 2-7. The Celtics always had an unconventional approach to their bench rotation. Unlike other teams, they utilized only three players off the bench and became the first team to register their 10th win.

Just like the Friday night game didn’t go in Drake’s favor, the rapper’s action costed the Raptors another game in the past.

Drake’s banter backfires for the Raptors

During a regular season game between the Raptors and the Golden State Warriors, Drake tried to provoke Kevin Durant. Unfortunately, it turned on a switch inside KD and he went off to drop 30 points to register 127-121 victory. Following the game, when Drake bumped into KD during the post-game interview, Slim Reaper said, I don’t give a damn about no Drake Night,” with an icy stare. Notably, KD and Drake share a great bond off the basketball court.
