Grammy-winning rapper Drake has always had a close association with basketball. From his colorful courtside appearances to his hoop-centric rap lyrics, he’s a well-known bystander in the NBA world. However, his connection to basketball doesn’t end there. Back in 2021, Drizzy dated former UCLA player and now Charlotte Hornets G League talent Amari Bailey’s mom Johanna Leia.

Back then, the two were spotted going on several dinner dates and even basketball games. Though the relationship didn’t last more than a few months, the OVO co-founder made a few courtside appearances at Bailey’s UCLA games. More recently, Drake’s ex-resurfaced again in an Instagram story posted by Amari. In the picture, the 20-year-old can be seen posing with his mom and younger sister.

Leia is a fashion model and Instagram influencer who has worked with companies such as Fashion Nova. Currently, the former Ford model successfully runs a sports management company called Just Living. The Toronto native’s association with Bailey didn’t end there. Last year, he was seen at a Hornets game giving him some valuable life advice and is reported to have gifted a customized chain with the OVO logo.

Interestingly enough, Drake isn’t the first star Leia has dated, other than being married to Amari’s dad former NFL wide receiver Aaron Bailey, she was also linked to Ja Morant. Last year rumors of her dating Ja ran rampant around the airwaves, though nothing was confirmed.  Despite this, she has mentioned the rapper a couple of time of times in her Instagram live.

How does Drake feel about his ex’s online resurfacing? Is he bothered? probably not cause the rapper has his hands full with something else right now.

Well, Drake and K Dot have been throwing subliminal shots at each other since the Compton native dropped the notorious Control Verse. In it, he called out the entire industry by name, creating shockwaves in the hip-hop world. This cold war went on as Lamar, accused the global superstar of having a ghostwriter on his song King Kunta. However, all this came to a head this year when K dot directly dissed J Cole and Drake on a feature on Metro Boomin and rapper Future’s song ‘Like That’.

In the scathing lyrics, he mentions Drizzy’s latest feature with Cole called ‘First Person Shooter’. In the song, Cole refers to three of them as the “Big Three”, of the rap game, but Kendrick seems to disagree. As he replied, “Mother Fu**k the Big Three… its just big me,” he also took direct shots at Drake. While J Cole has replied to diss in a new song called “7 Minute Drill.” Drizzy has been eerily silent. Do you think we will witness a new Kendrick-diss track soon?
