Youngster might pose problems for Draymond Green

The Golden State Warriors boast of having one of the best cores which has dominated the league for quite some time now. Over the past few seasons, Steph Curry, Green, and Klay Thompson have been constants for the team and have won four NBA titles together.

Now that they are aging, the youngsters are stepping up their game. One of them happens to be Jonathan Kuminga. The 21-year-old burst onto the scene during the 2021-22 NBA season and has established himself as one of the future faces of the game.

Kuminga has really excelled and improved his performances during the preseason. He averaged 26.0 points, and 5.6 rebounds while shooting 57% from the field during the preseason.

Green’s performances over the past few seasons have been concerning for the Dubs. Now that he is aging, he can play a lesser role while paving the way for youngsters, like Kuminga and others.

In case coach Steve Kerr decides to give the youngster a chance during the preseason, he might very well take Green’s place. He is 6-foot-8 inches tall and has a similar build to that of the former Defensive Player of the Year. The 2021 7th overall pick might start alongside Curry, Thompson, Chris Paul, and Andrew Wiggins.

The youngsters have turned up clutch for the Warriors

The Lakers took on the Warriors recently in a replay of their 2nd round matchup during the 2023 NBA playoffs. While the Lakers got the better of the Dubs during the playoffs, the youngsters ensured a victory for the Warriors during the preseason.

The Warriors won the game 125-108 with Stephen Curry putting up 18 points in just 21 minutes of action. However, it was the youngsters who took the limelight. Rookie Brandin Podziemski had an amazing all-round display with 10 points, 10 assists, and six rebounds. Kuminga led the scoring with 26 points for the night.
