Green continues to assert his defensive prowess by effectively defending against opposing bigs, ensuring the Warriors maintain their defensive versatility against second-unit opponents. This, in turn, creates opportunities for the backcourt, with the potential of helping starters like Bradnin Podziemski, Stephen Curry, or Klay Thompson. Additionally, Green’s presence on the court also relieves the burden on players like Kuminga, allowing him for aggressive drives to the basket.
Despite Kuminga and Wiggins previously experiencing a deficit of 13.4 points on average over 100 possessions, Green significantly impacted their performance when sharing the court. In games against the Atlanta Hawks and Kings, the Warriors enjoyed a 21-point advantage in just 22 minutes with Green alongside the duo.
