The Golden State Warriors have been one of the most dominant forces in the NBA for the last decade. They have won four NBA titles in the last nine seasons, with Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green playing a key part in it. Draymond has created a niche for himself as a Warrior. His passion and desire to win have made him a beloved figure in the Bay Area.

However, sometimes Green can get on the nerves of his opponents because of his constant trash-talking. In a recent interview, Tyrese Maxey called him the “No.1 s**t talker” in the league.

Draymond hilariously responds to Maxey’s claims

Tyrese Maxey made an appearance on the latest episode of the Million Dollaz Worth of Game. During a conversation, host Gillie Da Kid quizzed Maxey about the best trash talker in the league, to which Maxey replied, “Draymond”. The forward saw the clip of the podcast and responded through his Instagram handle. He posted a story on Instagram with the caption, “I keep it real light with lil bro.” Several laughing emojis accompanied the caption.

Maxey also recalled a heated incident with Draymond during his sophomore season. He said, “We are playing against them without Joel [Embiid] and I’m cooking the whole first half. And I’m just me, I’m smiling, it’s my second year, I’m happy to be out here. [Draymond Green yells] ‘STOP SMILING!’ I’m like, ‘Woah. What are you yelling at me for? I’m just hooping.’ I love his intensity, though.”

Maxey isn’t the only player who has been on the backend of Draymond’s sharp words. Several stars, including LeBron James, Paul Pierce, and Anthony Edwards, have been recipients of Draymond’s trash-talking. While Warriors’ players and fans love him for his tenacity, sometimes Green’s combative nature has occasionally resulted in him facing disciplinary actions within the NBA.

Draymond Green’s suspension troubles

Draymond Green has been the emotional leader of the Warriors dynasty. However, on some occasions, he loses control of his emotions. Draymond Green has earned the dubious distinction of being the player with the second-highest number of ejections in NBA history, totaling 20 ejections. He stands just nine ejections away from surpassing the current record held by Rasheed Wallace, who holds the record with 29 ejections.

Apart from ejections, Draymond Green has been suspended on six separate occasions by both the NBA and the Warriors. However, his most recent suspension was the most damning, as the NBA suspended Green indefinitely because of “repeated history of unsportsmanlike conduct”. The NBA reinstated Green back into the league after a 12-game suspension.

But will Draymond change, or continue with his confrontational style of play? Let us know in the comments below!
