Wednesday night’s Warriors game saw Draymond Green exiting the court with less than 4 minutes of gametime. The ejection came after Green’s extensive argument with referees, potentially stinting the team’s playoff run. As fans attempted to comprehend the situation, they witnessed a tearing Stephen Curry, hiding his emotions behind his jersey. Soon, the barrage of Green’s controversial actions regained the limelight, all in the notion of hurting the Warriors throughout the last 12 years.

Joining Steiny & Guru briefly on their podcast, Steve Kerr resonates that Draymond Green’s actions from the night are “unforgivable.” As Steiny & Guru discuss Kerr’s comments, they notice that something bigger is in play within the Golden State Warriors; mostly because of Curry’s reaction to Green’s ejection and Kerr’s comments.

Given the tough 10-game ending stretch, many Dubs Nation fans are looking forward to the off-season. However, Steiny & Guru press on the possibility that, despite the chance of shaking their roster, the Warriors’ priority might be game-changing. “I’m starting to think that the number one priority for the Warriors right now may be to move off Draymond Green,” one of them declared. “When a head coach says his player did something unforgivable, to me Steiny that’s the last straw that broke camel’s back,” Guru reasons.

Early in the podcast, the duo touches on Green’s most controversial stints with the Warriors. Stepping away from the live action, they point at Green’s comments on Kevin Durant amidst their championship runs. Furthermore, they point out the Jordan Poole punch, fracturing the team’s chemistry and forcing the Warriors to choose sides.

Regardless, while fans chose to look past these instances, they won’t be doing that for the Wednesday night game, Guru and Steiny claim. Albeit because it saw Stephen Curry being affected directly, one of the most loved athletes in the global space.

Kerr partly blames himself for Draymond Green’s antics

On Tuesday, Green displayed yet another questionable play against the Miami Heat. The forward briefly choked Patty Mills on a play, while maneuvering through a screen near the basket. Luckily, as the officials reviewed the scoring aspect of the play, they overlooked the nature of Green’s actions.

With that, during Kerr’s feature on the podcast, the coach resonated a skipped step in adjusting Dray’s approach. Kerr said, “I actually am kicking myself a little bit,” in light of potentially giving Green a green light after the Miami game incident. “Since Draymond came back from suspension he’s been really good with the refs. I think he’s found a really good balance of being competitive and feisty but not going overboard. In the Miami game, he was on the refs too much and I should have intervened and reminded him that it all starts with finding the right spot. And I didn’t.”
