The Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green has had a troubling season so far, facing two suspensions. Apart from that, he missed out on several games in the beginning due to an injury. So out of 26 games, he managed to play only 15 games, and it led to a lot of irregularities in the Dubs’ starting line-up. Amid this situation, Green received a lot of flak from the NBA world for repeatedly ending up in trouble and his return seems to be a long way from here. Meanwhile, Green’s wife, Hazel Renee, took to social media to extend her support.

After an impactful 5-game winning streak, it has all been a slippery slope for the Warriors. Owing to a lot of problems, the team struggled to earn the winning combination. Lack of support for Stephen Curry, injuries, and Green’s double suspension. While the first two reasons are unforced, Green’s suspensions could have been avoided. And, the team paid a heavy price for it, sinking at the 11th seed of the Western Conference points table.

Days after coming out of a 5-game suspension, Draymond Green engaged in a hostile act in a game against the Phoenix Suns‘ Jusuf Nurkić. While it seemed like a regular ejection, the league slapped Green with an indefinite suspension and suggested counseling for the power forward.

When the NBA analysts and pundits heavily criticized the hostile act, Stephen Curry still believed in his teammate and spoke about the importance of Green in the franchise. He added, “We all breathe life from him. I don’t know anybody who can replace that… His effect on the room is strong. So it’s a blessing and a curse,” in his recent interview for ESPN.

On the other hand, the 4x NBA Champ’s wife took to another level. Hazel Renee took to her Instagram stories and shared Green’s recent upload from their Monaco vacation in 2019. The story also carried some promising words for the 33-year-old. It read, “Me and You until the world BLOW.”

A recent update revealed that Green would not play basketball till the end of 2023, as he undergoes counseling.

At the same time, the Dubs finally seemed to have found their winning combination after benching Andrew Wiggins and bringing up Jonathan Kuminga and Brandin Podziemski in the starting line. Will Green’s inclusion after three weeks affect the team?

Will Green find a spot on the starting line-up after his return?

After a long struggle, Steve Kerr finally seemed to have found a working formula, altering his starting lineup. The team faced inconsistencies in the availability of players which impacted the result so far.

Since the youngsters found a spot in the starting five, the team has magically produced two consecutive wins. Moreover, Klay Thompson dropped 17 three-pointers in his last 3 games. While the Dubs have gone on the right track, Green’s return might affect the flow of the stream again. Only time will tell how Kerr tackles the upcoming hurdle.
