The skyhook appears to be a surprisingly straightforward shot in theory. The player shoots the ball by extending their arm, releasing it at its highest point. While doing so, they simultaneously use a hook-like action with their wrist. However, the technique can be quite challenging to master. Jabbar also spent years of training to make it possible for him to execute it successfully.
