While doing so, they simultaneously use a hook-like action with their wrist. However, the technique can be quite challenging to master. Jabbar also spent years of training to make it possible for him to execute it successfully.

The shot’s physics emphasizes its difficulty even further. Many have attempted to imitate the shot but could not do so. Despite numerous attempts, no player has ever duplicated successfully the shot’s mechanics, let alone reach its astonishing success rate.

However, most recently, a dwarf hooper has successfully recreated the iconic shot. And the clip of him doing so is going viral on social media.

Even when you see the shot coming, one can’t help but stand helplessly with no room for defense. That is how powerful Kareem’ skyhook shot was. And to see a dwarf hooper nail the shot, fans could not help but admire him.

His true identity remains a mystery;  and yet, his video showcasing the impressive execution of the skyhook shot has garnered widespread attention. And as basketball enthusiasts took to Instagram to comment on the same.
