He even claimed that Jordan asked him to read it out loud to put an end to the debate by saying, He asked me to read it on air. He said, ‘I’m not backing up for it. I’m tired of this argument about Magic Johnson not being the best point guard in the history of the game.”

Another fan criticized Smith for relying on unnamed sources, saying, “Over the last 3 days Stephen A. has made the most one-sided arguments, and they have all come from ‘sources’ and not himself. If you believe it, just say it yourself #growup.”

One fan pointed out that questioning Curry’s position as a point guard just because he plays the position differently is nonsensical. They argued that Curry’s unique style of play is innovative and has changed basketball with his three-point ability.

Another fan brought another ongoing controversy between Lonzo Ball and Smith. Smith said that he had heard it was hard for Lonzo to even get up from a sitting position. Lonzo, who rarely posts anything on social media, replied to him by posting a video and asking ‘who his sources are.

Whether his claims are right or wrong, only Michael can tell. However, one thing is clear, As the NBA is evolving, so are the roles of different positions like a Point Guard. Curry’s name will continue to come in this debate.
