Last night, the Bucks perished against the mighty Cavs despite a power-packed performance. While the team will overcome the loss in the next weeks, Bobby Portis faced something insurmountable on the same night, off the court. The 29-year-old lost a lot of prized possessions in a home invasion, while he was at the game.

Hours after the frustrating 113-114 loss against the Cavaliers, Bobby Portis uploaded an Instagram video, with a request to his fans. The former NBA Champion spoke to the Wisconsin locals from his heart, saying, “This is a place I consider home. So, why not make my home a better place?… While I was at my game yesterday, I had a home invasion, and they took most of my prized possessions. If you have any info regarding this, please send.”

The $48 million Bucks earner also added a snippet of 2 burglars captured by his security cameras, as they attempted to break into his property. Moreover, Bobby Portis stated that it was a targeted robbery, as per ESPN. Above all, as a motivating factor, the hooper also wrote, “Any information that directly leads to catching the criminals involved or return of my property will be rewarded.”

In response, fans sent in their solidarity and promised that Bobby Portis would recover his possessions. It’s not quite often that we witness NBA players officially requesting their fans to help them out. But this has happened in the near past as well…

Before Bobby Portis, a Celtics star requested fans’ help!

It was none other than Jaylen Brown, the reigning Final MVP. The Celt forward had an unfortunate situation during the 2024 championship parade. The star lost one of his rings and, most importantly; he didn’t hesitate to take the matters to his fans. Following the event, Brown shared a picture of the ring on his IG stories and wrote, “Reward for whoever finds this ring lost it at the parade.”

Guess what? 2 fans did help Jaylen Brown find his lost ring. The hooper visited them in person to collect his item. The star pulled up in an SUV, sporting a hoodie and sunglasses. He jumped out of the car to greet the fans and inspected the ring.

Jay handed them an autographed ball and insisted they take the gift. Happy with the ring in his hand, the Celt said, “One act of kindness is what we need. So we appreciate you,” as he grabbed a picture with them.

Jaylen Brown shared the video of the event on his IG and wrote, “Got it back, thank you to Luke and Adi,” and promised them courtside seats for the Celtics’ ring ceremony. So in this cruel world, there’s still genuineness and hope for Bobby Portis. We pray that all goes well with the Bucks star.
