After Curry’s historic run with the Davidson Wildcats, there was no doubt about Curry’s abilities. However, the transition from college to the NBA was not so easy for the 6’2 guard. He dealt with a series of ankle injuries at the beginning of his career that severely hampered his growth in the league. Although he has overcome these concerns over the years, they have played a significant role in defining his early years in the NBA.

After his injury concern, came another heartbreak. After winning two back-to-back titles, The Warriors were back to the NBA Finals in 2019 with the hopes of a three-peat. However, their hopes came crashing down as their star guard, Klay Thompson suffered a devastating injury. With Thompson out, the Warriors crumbled, eventually losing to the Toronto Raptors. Their star-studded super-team, too, split after the loss. However, Curry never let any of these affect his career.

Despite the setback, Curry led the Warriors to their 4th title, also bagging the Finals MVP award. He wept when Thompson got injured but also celebrated his return. Over the years, several setbacks have come in Curry’s way but they have made Curry the strong and successful athlete he is today.
