Kawhi Leonard was sick before the game

The Clippers encountered a challenging start, falling behind 16-0 as the game kicked off. However, in a spirited response, they launched an impressive 18-2 run. They scored their next 10 points without a miss to level the score at 18. However, that was the closest they were for the majority of the game; until Kawhi Leonard stepped in with pivotal heroics.

Out of his 21 points, 14 came in the final minutes of the game alongside the Big 3. Moreover, with a corner three, Leonard gave the Clippers their first lead of the night with less than 3 minutes remaining on the clock.

It took Leonard some time to get into a rhythm. Moreover, it also demanded a small-ball experiment by Tyronn Lue. However, Leonard’s initial hiccups came due to health challenges. After the game, Lue revealed that Leonard had been under the weather before the game. Furthermore, he had been unable to practice with the team the day before, raising uncertainties about his availability for the contest. Nevertheless, the Clippers secured their 10th victory in the last 12 games. Next, they will face the Los Angeles Lakers.
