Stephen Curry and his family have attracted a lot of attention. While Steph is their prime face, brother Seth Curry also has a solid NBA resume. Their pop was a shooting wizard and the Curry family has been supporting each other for decades now. While we know the brothers and father for basketball reasons, his sister Sydel Curry has also found a space in the mainstream culture.
She is married to one of his former teammates. As she celebrated a big milestone, a lot of nostalgia was on display.

Stephen Curry and Sydel had a lot to celebrate in 2018
2018 is a special year for the family. This was the same year when Curry and his Golden State Warriors swept LeBron James and Cavaliers in four straight games. This was the last season that James played for the Cavs before joining the Lakers.
This year was a huge year for his sister as well. She tied the knot with Damion Lee on September 1st, 2018. Their wedding party was a stuff of legends and an assortment of high-profile individuals.

Considering that, she didn’t miss out on having another blast when the couple celebrated their fifth anniversary. She shared an Instagram reel that showed the snippets of celebrations as an enormous crowd danced and enjoyed a fine night.
She captioned the post as,’5 years since the ultimate turn up! One of the best nights of my life, hands down. It was everything we could’ve wanted and more, surrounded by our nearest and dearest. Can’t believe how fast 5 years has gone by 🤯 got 5 more years to regroup and we are running it back for sure lol @detailskristi @elysiumweddings”

The couple’s energy shows how much the occasion meant to them. With their close ones in attendance once again, they recreated the magical wedding touch of 2018.
Once, feeling uncomfortable with the limelight, she has been embracing her life now. Her life took a beautiful turn in 2021 and then again, just a week ago.

A changed Sydel enjoying the fruits of parenting
Being the daughter of such a successful NBA player and a sister of an even bigger basketball phenom made life suffocating for her. Her identity was limited to being the sister of Steph, which irritated her a lot. Once this made her say, “No, I’m not Stephen Curry’s sister, I’m Sydel Curry”. Things got more complicated when she married an NBA player and certain people started to see her just as an NBA wife.

However, as an individual, such concerns don’t seem to bother her anymore. After she gave birth to Daxon Wardell-Xavier Lee in 2021, thanks to an IVF procedure, her life has now taken a turn for good. It got even more beautiful recently when she gave birth to her second child.
