Stephen Curry is hyped! Of course, why not? After winning his first-ever gold medal for Team USA in his debut Olympics campaign, Steph brought out his inner child. Moreover, it turned into a classic folk tale when the Bay Area superstar led the team to the Finals with a dominating 24 points, sinking 8 three-pointers. Following this effort, Steph shrugged off a tag that was given to him before the Paris trip.

After the medal ceremony, a camera caught the Baby-faced Assassin ditching the ‘rookie’ tag in the locker room, as he flaunted his ‘Paw Patrol’ gear. The superstar looked into the camera and said, “I feel goldness right now. I’m in the club right now. I ain’t a rookie no more. Even though I got my beautiful backpack.”

Not long ago, in an interview with NBC Sports, Stephen Curry had an unexpected moment. The interviewer asked the 36-year-old to speak about his first Olympic experience while referring to him as a rookie. Taken aback by the question, the superstar laughed it off. Days after that, Steph ditched the tag after winning the gold medal.

Despite his efforts to wash off the rookie label, he didn’t kill the child in him. When Curry got ready to head back to the hotel, something very odd was dangling from his backpack. It was nothing but a small child’s backpack with the famous ‘Paw Patrol’ characters imprinted on it. ‘Paw Patrol’ is an animated kids’ TV show that has captivated the young mind for over the last decade. There’s only one possible way for Steph to watch that show, his three kids.

Now that Stephen Curry has become a father for the fourth time, he may have to watch it for another decade. Nevertheless, the superstar can’t be called a ‘rookie’ anymore!

Stephen Curry & Co. celebrate their redemption

The 2023 NBA off-season witnessed an embarrassing moment in the US basketball. The young team selected for the FIBA WC failed to even win a bronze medal and received a lot of backlash across the globe. That’s when LeBron James proposed the ‘Avengers’ association, forming a super team alongside Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant.

Almost a year later, the team orchestrated their sweet redemption, winning 11 games in a row, including 5 exhibition games. After the medal ceremony, Team USA headed to their usual spot outside the Bercy Arena and posed for a picture with Champagne bottles in their hands.

Curry’s gold pride didn’t stop in the locker room. It carried on till he reached the team bus. The superstar guard stood in front of the arena, posing with a cigar and champagne in his hand while the cameras shuttered. And, 4x NBA Champ, hinting at his first Olympic gold, said, “I got me one. Yessir,” as he headed to the bus. The superstar can make them two if he agrees to play in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. Notably, he may not have King James by his side at that time. Nevertheless, it’s always safe to expect the unexpected!
