Bronny James, the 18-year-old son of NBA superstar LeBron James, suffered a massive cardiac arrest during a USC workout session. Later, the USC medical staff rushed him to the hospital. As per the latest reports, he’s currently in stable condition, and out of the ICU. This news came as a shocker, as the whole basketball world is praying for junior James’ speedy recovery.

Bronny, who was last seen with his father LeBron James, and his family at the ESPY. They celebrated the NBA star’s award for the most record-breaking performance of the year. Meanwhile, the latest report suggests the seriousness of the cardiac arrest Bronny suffered. It could dishearten his whole family.

Earlier, TMZ reported about Bronny’s cardiac arrest, as one of the spokespersons from James’ family said, “He is now in stable condition and no longer in ICU. We ask for respect and privacy for the James family and we will update media when there is more information.”

As per TMZ, a 911 call was made from the USC’s Galen Center around 9:26 AM on Monday. Sources suggested that it was a code 3 911 call, which showcased the seriousness of the injury, as it required ambulance lights and sirens.

Safe to say, the quick action taken by the medical staff and the players who were practicing at the arena may have saved Bronny’s life.

A spokesperson further said, “LeBron and Savannah wish to publicly send their deepest thanks and appreciation to the USC medical and athletic staff for their incredible work and dedication to the safety of their athletes.”

Notably, Bronny recently followed his father’s footsteps and joined USC; he will also wear the No. 6 jersey for the Trojans in his freshman year. James, of course, wore the no.6 during his Miami Heat days and he wore it for two seasons at the Lakers as well. Moreover, James felt really proud of his son, as he posted about him all over his social media.
