Daryl Morey and Harden shared a great and fruitful relationship when the two were with the Houston Rockets. In fact, the 10-time NBA All-Star played his best basketball with the Rockets and Morey as president.

It looks like their relationship is all but over. After all, The Beard called Morey a ‘liar’.Daryl Morey is a liar and I will never be a part of an organization that he’s a part of, said the 2018 MVP during an Adidas event in China.

It looks like his claims might be true. According to eminent Philadelphia journalist, John Clark, Morey and his representatives never met with Harden’s camp.

“I’m told the Sixers never had an agreement, made an offer, or exchanged proposals with James Harden and his reps heading into this year’s free agency. It’s my understanding the Sixers told James and his reps they would meet with them the second free agency starts”, revealed Clark on Facebook.

This wasn’t a favorable situation for the 2018 MVP and his representatives. Subsequently, he opted for his player option during the start of the NBA Free Agency and requested a trade. Harden’s bad blood with Morey started with the 76ers not being willing to offer him a long-term contract.
