In his latest maneuver, he cited lyrics from the song Purple Hearts. This is a track by Kendrick Lamar, Ghostface Killah, & Summer Walker. Lamar is a maestro who has bagged 17 Grammy Awards. However, he shares the part that features Ghostface Killah.

These lyrics resonate deeply with the dribbling wizard. The part where it says “Love, we killin’ greed, we killin’ homelessness” showcases the intention of the beautiful track.

Irving has been in various controversies. He has constantly questioned the establishment and has showcased constant deviant behavior. But basketball has to take centerstage now, as the first game for the Mavs will be on the 25th of October. In this game, he will go up against the top-prospect Victor Wembanyama.

The Guard signed a three-year $126 million dollar deal with the Dallas Mavericks. This extension indicates that the Franchise intends to make a deep run with him. Irving’s valuation may be around $50 million or so, considering how guards like Fred Van Vleet got a similar deal to him.

However, this is still a big deal considering the reputation he has earned. He didn’t show up for the Nets during the COVID period, as he refused to get vaccinated. Such actions have stirred the pot and can make many franchises skeptical.
