James Harden has expressed his dissatisfaction with the Philadelphia 76ers after a disappointing season. The Beard had joined the Sixers with great expectations, but now fans wonder about his future. Harden’s relationship with the team soured due to mishandling of his free agency. The franchise also failed to make it past the second round of the playoffs. But the in-house trouble doesn’t end with an irked inmate.

To make things worse, chaos ensued when a 76ers star put forth his “Somewhere Else” comment. And NBA veteran Gilbert Arenas came to hear of it, he ripped the 76ers icon apart, even bringing in Shaquille O’Neal.

“Joel Embiid plays just enough individually”

Joel Embiid has weathered the storm of the Philadelphia 76ers’ challenges over his nine-season transformational journey with them. He signed a huge four-year, $213 million contract with the franchise just last year to show his commitment. His game reached new heights after joining forces with James Harden. But the recent Harden trade speculations have unnerved him. The tenacious center expressed his unshakable ambition to win an NBA title in an exclusive conversation with Maverick Carter.

He said, “I just want to win a championship. Whatever it takes. I don’t know where that’s gonna be. Whether it’s in Philly or anywhere else. I just want to have a chance.”

Unfortunately, Gilbert Arenas did not like this comment. And he proceeded to rip him apart in a recent episode of ‘Gil’s Arena.’

Gilbert Arenas believes that Embiid plays just enough individually and doesn’t do much with the team he is equipped with. “Let me take Greek’s (Giannis Antetokounmpo) energy, give it to Embiid,” Arenas said. “What the f**k does he average? 40? Then why the f**k are you happy with 32? If I give him someone else’s energy, that he doesn’t have … he needs to average to get this team to another level.”When he was disrespected about (Nikola) Jokic, and he gave the man 50 … why the f**k you not doing that every f**king night?”

When asked if it’s Embiid, he continued, “For me, and looking at the teams he had with his talent, unstoppable. Yes, it’s him. If we put Shaq (O’Neal) on any of those teams? Yeah. They don’t lose no champion.. he got a championship.”

However, following Embiid’s recent comments, the New York Knicks have reportedly expressed an interest in him.

Joel Embiid on New York Knicks’ radar

Joel Embiid is apparently a target for the New York Knicks. Teams have been reluctant to accept James Harden’s pricey contract as a result of his unclear future with the Sixers. This could lead to a trade. When Embiid posted a cryptic story on Instagram indicating his desire for a change from his current circumstance, speculation increased.

The Knicks are currently looking into the prospect of bringing Embiid to New York while attentively watching the situation surrounding Harden as it develops. The fact that Embiid’s former agent, Leon Rose, is now the Knicks’ general manager, giving them a potential advantage in the negotiations, could help this quest.
