LeBron James and NBA conspiracies go hand in hand, and this latest one is no exception. The blockbuster Luka Dončić-Anthony Davis trade, initially seen as a straight-up deal between Nico Harrison and Rob Pelinka, now has a new twist—and apparently, LeBron had a hand in it.

Veteran Fox analyst Colin Cowherd didn’t just pull this theory out of thin air. He carefully pieced it together, tying it to AD’s current struggles in Dallas and fueling speculation that LeBron may have orchestrated the entire move behind the scenes.

We all are aware of the situation in Dallas. In Cowherd’s words, it’s a big “mess”. Last night, Kyrie Irving sustained a season-ending injury, leaving the fans in deep despair. All the chaos unfolding in Dallas has led Colin Cowherd to a bold conclusion—LeBron James can predict the future.

“One of the things that LeBron has, and I have never seen anything like it, is intuition… a guy that can see problems before they happen,” Cowherd claimed.

Whether you buy into the theory or not, one thing is clear—LeBron’s influence runs deep, and the Mavs’ struggles are only adding fuel to the fire.

You may wonder how LeBron James could predict an injury. I did too. But it wasn’t about the injury. It’s about the timing of the Luka Doncic trade that catapulted the Lakers to second seed and pushed the 2024 Finalists into a deep tunnel. The Fox analyst dissected the 4x NBA Champ’s career and how he switched teams before it’s too late to leave, saying,

“LeBron is always a year early, better than a year late.” Most importantly, James made sure

he won a title whenever he did that.

Now that he has already won a title with Anthony Davis in the Lakers, Colin Cowherd highlighted that the partnership had come to an end. He added, “LeBron privately… was concerned that AD could not get him easy baskets. AD was a good teammate. They work together, but they weren’t perfect as LeBron aged.” So, going by the analyst’s train of thought, Bron should either move out or trade in a facilitator. And according to Cowherd, he did the latter.

“LeBron looked around the league, ‘Who can get me easier baskets? The two best outlet guys are Jokic. He’s locked up in Denver and Luka. And he gets Luka and the Lakers are now on fire,” said the 61-year-old, theorizing the thinking behind the blockbuster trade. Mind you, it’s extremely convincing. How did AD get hurt exactly after getting traded? Sounds fishy, right? Well, it could be a coincidence,

Nevertheless, Cowherd concluded with a punch, saying, “You can call him selfish, but here’s something to call LeBron as well, he is right, always right.” Alright, I get it. He’s right. Now, what about AD and Mavs? We have an update, too.

Can Anthony Davis carry the Dallas Mavericks?

Not in his wildest dream, Anthony Davis would have thought that he would lead the Mavericks in the 2024 pre-season. That’s how wild the times have changed in the NBA world. Even after Luka Doncic left the Dallas side, the team looked lethal with the union of Kyrie Irving and Davis.

We just saw one game of these superstars teaming up. It was indeed an exhibition of domination on both ends. Moreover, it re-ignited the championship fever in Texas. While everyone patiently waited for AD to get back to full fitness and witness the magic again, Kai hung his boots for the rest of the season.

So now what? Will the Mavs let this season slide? There were trade speculations about Kevin Durant joining the Mavs as well. But that isn’t the case. ESPN reporter Shams Charania had an important update from Mavs’ front office.

He said, “I think him, his representatives are gonna huddle up. I think they’re gonna have some very hard conversations.” By hard conversations, he meant the postseason run. Charania also instilled hope, saying, “It’s not out of the realm of possibility that one game was the last time we’ve seen AD this season.” So, the bottom line is Brow has a team to carry in the postseason until he receives support in the future.
