One of the youngest stars of the Philadelphia 76ers, Tyrese Maxey, recently revealed a hilarious incident about his reaction to winning the NBA’s Most Improved Player award. The news was refreshingly human, as he revealed that he was watching an episode of the popular TV series Game of Thrones. And what was Maxey’s unexpected yet interesting reaction to winning the MIP award?

The “pause the show” moment for Tyrese Maxey

Tyrese Maxey revealed he was sitting on a couch, indulging in a fantasy world of Westeros, just when he had to pause it and do something more important. He revealed, “I was laying on my couch, watching Game of Thrones. A really good episode. I had TNT playing in the background.” Later when it was announced that Maxey won the award. He said, “Once I heard, ‘Oh! Tyrese Maxey!’, I was like, ‘Alright let me get up, pause the show, & do the interview.

Maxey’s decision to pause his leisure activity to acknowledge the award speaks volumes about his character (even behind the camera). He also averages 6.2 assists per game & 3.7 rebounds per game. He is the second-best offensive player on the team in the regular season. Maxey’s offensive prowess increased, and his ability to contribute to the team’s success was important for the success of the 76ers.
