Anthony Edwards created a whirlwind with his outrageous slam dunk last night. The whirlwind even reached the legend of the game, Michael Jordan, whom Edwards was often compared to. A Fox analyst, Chris Broussard, who took the news to MJ, made a shocking GOAT claim on live TV. He claimed that Ant-Man can never reach the GOAT conversation in the future. In response to this claim, Ex-NBA star Gilbert Arenas blasted Broussard in his recent show.

Featuring on the latest live stream of No Chill Gil, Arenas reacted to Broussard’s take on Edwards. He furiously said, “This is what I’m talking about. How can you say he can never be in a GOAT conversation? How do you know this dude’s career is gonna be? That’s the problem with these dudes. With all these older dudes, they are trying to preserve legacies to the point where they already label you.”

The GOAT conversation has been an endless debate in the NBA world. A few veteran NBA analysts like Stephen A. Smith have never backed down from calling anyone else apart from Michael Jordan the greatest of all time. Meanwhile, they have constantly been criticized for not considering superstars like LeBron James

Moreover, in the current online world, the hoops community even started a new trend called ‘We done with the 90s’, as a response to the endless debates. It was brought in to stop the comparisons between the players from yesteryear and active players. However, it eventually turned into a defense statement for the King James fans.

Nevertheless, as stated by Arenas, it was too early to write off the 22-year-old rising superstar. Notably, MJ turned 22-years-old in his rookie season. Comparatively, Anthony Edwards is already two steps ahead of the legend.

During the 2023 off-season, the NBA world went berserk when a comparison video of MJ and Ant-Man surfaced on the internet. The comparison video highlighted Edwards’ game as fans jokingly claimed he was Jordan’s actual son.

While months have elapsed after that frenzy, Jordan finally opened up about the comparison. In a recent podcast, Chris Broussard revealed MJ’s words on Edwards via text. Broussard said, “I reached out to the GOAT himself today….he told me he does indeed see the similarities in his game and Anthony Edward’s game.”
