Before Harden joined the team, the Clippers were outscoring teams and the productivity level of the players was high as well. But with Harden’s entry, things have changed. The issue is not exactly Harden’s score as he is averaging 15 points, 4.4 rebounds and 4.2 assists in the five games that he has played. Harden seems to be struggling with matching up to his performance last year while at the same time, he lacks chemistry with his teammates. A lot of it could be due to the player not attending the training camp.
The problems don’t end here. Harden’s current form isn’t the only issue with the team. The team is seen to be playing well when Harden is out and Russell Westbrook is at the primary point and not when both are playing. The players are not matching up either with more non-shooters playing. There seems to be a need for shooters around, whether it’s alongside Harden or Westbrook. In addition to this, there have been a lot of injuries this season as well.
