The Golden State Warriors are having a horrible 2023-24 season. Before the start of the season, many fans expected the Warriors to challenge for the title, but the reality has been quite the opposite. Dubs have struggled to pick up wins on a consistent basis. And for their fans who have grown accustomed to their beloved team winning, this season has been a disappointing ordeal.

The probable defence
The game between the Warriors and the Grizzlies is scheduled to tip-off by 8:00 PM, Eastern Time at the FedExForum in Memphis. The game promises to be an enthralling watch, as the Warriors and the Grizzlies share a fierce rivalry. Even in the absence of key players such as Ja Morant and Desmond Bane, the Grizzlies have proven to be a formidable opponent, securing a notable victory against the Warriors on January 15th. However, the Warriors will be bolstered by the fact that Draymond Green will most likely play in the match.

Apart from Draymond, the Warriors will miss the services of Dario Saric (illness), Moses Moody (calf) and Gary Payton II (hamstring). Veteran point guard Chris Paul also remains sidelined because of a fractured hand. However, he will be re-evaluated in two weeks. The Warriors’ injury concerns pale in comparison to the extensive list of injuries plaguing the Grizzlies. Key contributors like Morant (shoulder), Desmond Bane (ankle), Marcus Smart (finger) and Brandon Clarke (Achilles) all remain sidelined for at least six weeks.

Predicted Lineups: Grizzlies vs Warriors
Like the Warriors, the Memphis Grizzlies have also struggled this season. However, they have been one of the unluckiest teams, as injuries have decimated their roster. But this gives Memphis the opportunity to experiment and give young/fringe players a chance, and they have done exactly that.

The Warriors go into the game as favorites. However, the Grizzlies will play without pressure, as there’s no expectation for them to make it into the playoffs. On paper, it looks like a straight-forward victory for the Warriors. But despite facing an injury crisis, Memphis has demonstrated their ability to outperform the Warriors. The Warriors could begin the game with Stephen Curry, Brandin Podziemski, Klay Thompson, Jonathan Kuminga and Draymond Green.
