Before the start of the 2023-24 season, few people would have predicted that the Golden State Warriors would languish in the 12th spot of the Western Conference standings halfway through the season. However, that’s exactly how their season has transpired so far. The Warriors have looked like a shadow of their once formidable selves this season. But having said that, the team has appeared to turn a corner in recent games, winning two consecutive games.
They face the Atlanta Hawks in their next matchup later tonight. However, fans of the Warriors face an anxious wait, as the availability of Stephen Curry remains uncertain.

The game between the Warriors and the Hawks is scheduled to tip off by 7:30 PM, Eastern Time at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta. This matchup marks the second game of a five-game road trip for the Dubs. The Warriors won their previous away game against the Grizzlies by a scoreline of 101-121. However, the Hawks could prove to be a stern test, as they are 3-1 in their six-game home stand. The Warriors will be bolstered by the fact that Stephen Curry has been passed fit after playing 32 minutes against the Grizzlies yesterday.
Nevertheless, the Dubs will miss the services of some key players. Chris Paul remains sidelined after suffering a left-hand fracture against the Pistons on 5th January. However, three weeks after undergoing surgery for his fractured left hand, Paul was recently re-evaluated. The medical professionals have cleared him to resume light individual on-court workouts. He will be re-evaluated in two weeks. Gary Payton II also remains sidelined due to a hamstring injury.

Predicted Lineups: Hawks vs Warriors
The Warriors would aim to continue their two-game winning streak against the Hawks. They go into the game as slight favorites, but the Hawks would prove to be a tough matchup for the Dubs. Furthermore, the Dubs have won just eight road trips this season. With the Warriors currently outside the playoff spots, every game matters for them from now on. They could start the game with Stephen Curry, Brandin Podziemski, Klay Thompson, Jonathan Kuminga and Draymond Green.

The Atlanta Hawks also go into the game on the back of a three-game winning streak. However, in recent weeks, swirling trade rumors around Dejounte Murray may have dampened their locker room spirit. They could begin the game with Trae Young, Dejounte Murray, Jalen Johnson, Onyeka Okongwu, and Clint Capela.
