If we look back at last night’s game, young players like Jonathan Kuminga,21, and Brandin Podziemski, 20, saw more action than, say, Looney, Wiggins, and Thompson. So, Shams adds, “As much as we want to see the Warriors and their vets get a chance to ride this out till the sunset, we’re seeing two young players start to play more and I think it’s interesting.”
Thompson played 27 minutes last night and contributed seven points and five rebounds. This season, he has shown up for 22 of the 23 games the Warriors have played so far and averaged 15.4 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 assists. As the season unfolds, we are yet to find out how his position in the team will pan out.
