It is not uncommon for professional athletes to have hobbies or interests outside their chosen field. For NBA superstar Stephen Curry, one of his passions is golf. Curry has often been seen swinging his clubs when he’s not sinking three-pointers. He’s also played in several celebrity tournaments and even hosted his own, the Stephen Curry Charity Classic.
But when asked about his dream of golfing partners, Curry’s answer might surprise you with his ‘dream foursome’ revelations.

Stephen Curry reveals his love for Augusta National
During an interview at Firestone Country Club, Curry did not hesitate to reveal his choices when asked whether he would choose “a dream foursome at Augusta National, or a Wednesday night road game with Detroit Pistons?”
Curry’s response was a big affirmation about playing golf. “If you take me to Augusta, I will play 81 games that season. That’s fun”. When asked about three other people to play with, his first two choices were pretty much clear.

Alongside himself as the third member would be two icons of the sport: Tiger Woods and Jack Nicklaus.
Curry explained that having two of golf’s pillars in the same game would bring together “two titans” who have left an indelible mark on the history of golf. Their presence alone guarantees excitement and competition at its finest.
But what made this revelation truly intriguing was Curry’s fourth choice, who turned out to be ex-POTUS Barack Obama. “Me and him would be teammates against those guys, and we’d just get all the strokes in the world and we’d beat them,” Curry claimed.
The ‘secret service’ connection with the ex-president
The mention of President Obama as part of Curry’s dream foursome raised eyebrows due to a little-known incident from several years ago. In 2015, during an appearance on The Dan Patrick Show, the NBA icon revealed that he had played multiple rounds of golf with then-President Obama.
But
he was not supposed to relay it to the world, as he later explained, “I was told not to disclose that information on our president. That’s top secret. I’m acting like a secret service, so that’s top secret,” he revealed.ADVERTISEMENT
