LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony are well-known All-Star players on the world basketball stage who made their way to the NBA. However, their respective prodigious sons are climbing up the stairs from an early age as well. Recently, King James was spotted supporting his son Bryce James while the 16-year-old was playing against Carmelo’s son, Kiyan Anthony, at Nike’s EYBL. Notably, the college scouts and coaches from Ohio State and UConn College also made their appearances there.

It would be a great opportunity for young talents like Bryce and Kiyan to display their basketball skills and land a spot in the NCAA. From the father’s point of view, it was a complete treat for LeBron to enjoy watching his son play while expecting a grade up from the scouts for Bryce. Later, the Lakers superstar shared a pic of Bryce-Kiyan on his Instagram story, getting nostalgic about playing with his teammate Carmelo Anthony.

Carmelo and James actually had a meetup also before the game between their sons’ respective teams, Melo and SFG. As the game started, Carmelo witnessed his son making plays early in the game and giving off the lead for his team. Even at the half time, Kiyan’s time was led with 3 points with a scoreline of 32-29 over the SFG. However, Bryce James got hot in the second half and threw two continuous threes. Though LeBron’s son shone in the SFG’s victory, there was a scoring machine in that game who outshined the privileged ones.

A Hooper who surpassed LeBron James’ son Bryce James at Nike’s EYBL

The team of LeBron James’ son, Bryce James, won over Melo with a scoreline of 71-65. Amazingly, out of SFG’s 71 points, 40 points came from Bryce’s teammate, Brayden Burries. He exploded from the first half as he continued to shatter the opponent’s defense and made great baskets. The 16-year-old kept striving for greatness during the game and even compelled LeBron to acknowledge his game.

Impressed by the Point guard’s scoring ability, LeBron posted an Instagram story with Brayden’s picture, captioning, “My Big Body PG too NICE!!!!!! Keep going Brayden Burries.” However, that was not it from King James. The Lakers superstar posted another praise post featuring Brayden Burries on his Instagram story. Apparently, Brayden’s display of his skills at Nike’s EYBL has left an indelible mark on the mind of LeBron James.

With their all-round performance, Brayden and Bryce secured the win for SFG. However, it might not be wrong to say that Brayden Burries had more impact than Bryce James on the NCAA scouts against Melo. Kiyan Anthony was also a key player for his team, but it was not enough to go through Brayden’s offensive streak. It will be interesting to watch who will emerge first at NCAA, LeBron James’ son or Brayden Burries.
