Why does he consider the bubble ring the toughest?

In a recent episode of No Chill with Gilbert Arenas, Danny Green talked about his experience from the bubble championship. The former San Antonio Spurs star said, “I always tell everybody it was the hardest one, by far,”?while explaining the challenges behind closed doors. He then also mentioned how staying at the same place for nearly 100 days put a mental and emotional strain on him.

From not getting to see the family, to playing games without proper rest, everything started to take a toll on him. “I started getting vertigo,” he stated, to highlight the complications that arose with time. He hated the concept of the bio-bubble and its side-effects on a player’s overall mental and physical well-being.

Thus, he cherished it the most when he won the 2020 championship with the Los Angeles Lakers. He had defeated Miami’s super team with the Spurs and the Warriors’ dynasty with the Toronto Raptors in the past. So, Green’s words add more significance to that extraordinary ring.

The 38-year-old King had been in long search of his fourth ring. He joined the Lakers in 2018 with the aim of winning his fourth championship in mind. Danny helped him achieve precisely that.
