Forward Onyeka Okongwu led the lines scoring 17 points along with 8 rebounds and 3 assists. Atlanta’s star Trae Young also contributed massively to the win dishing out 14 assists on the night. The Hawks will certainly need both these players and the rest of their roster to step up to grab another win tonight. Atlanta Hawks injury report before showdown against the Miami Heat

The Hawks are eyeing a 3-0 lead in the season series against the Heat and also boost their playoff contention. However, do they have the firepower to do so? Well, that’s a bit complex. The biggest question mark for tonight’s clash in Miami is over star point guard, Trae Young’s fitness. Unfortunately, the 26-year-old is on day-to-day at the moment due to an Achilles issue.

This means Trae Young will be a game-day decision for the Hawks. So far, he’s been phenomenal for Atlanta averaging 24 points along with dishing out a league-high 11.5 assists per game. Young’s absence from the court tonight could massively hinder Atlanta’s winning chances. Well, their injury troubles don’t end here! There’s more to follow.

Power forward Larry Nance Jr. is also set to miss this clash. He’s out due to a non-displaced fracture in his right knee and will be re-evaluated in the coming weeks. Vit Krejci is also ruled out. The Hawks announced the guard is out with a back problem. Atlanta will also miss 23-year-old Jalen Johnson. The small forward has suffered a torn labrum in his left shoulder and won’t return to the hardwood this season.

Lastly, Kobe Bufkin is also out for the remainder of the 2024-25 season as he undergoes surgery to address an issue in his right shoulder. On the flip side, Atlanta’s opponents Miami also have their fair share of injury troubles. The Heat could also be without several stars such as Kel’el Ware, Bam Adebayo, and Andrew Wiggins all of whom are questionable for tonight. Additionally, Nikola Jovic, Isaiah Stevens, and Dru Smith are all ruled out. So, it will be interesting to see how the two teams navigate through these problems.

How could the Atlanta Hawks lineup amid their injury woes?

With a few key players ruled out and Trae Young’s fitness in question head coach Quin Snyder could have to make a few tweaks in his starting five. Big man Onyeka Okongwu will most likely retain his place in the starting lineup after a solid performance against the same opposition. Shooting guard Dyson Daniels could be joining him. The 21-year-old is having a stellar season averaging 13.9 points, 5.6 rebounds, and four assists.

Here’s how the Hawks can lineup:

Overall, both teams have been inconsistent this season. Given that, the Hawks are 2-0 in the season series they’ll be favored to come away with a win tonight. However, the Heat have the quality to win the game with players such as Tyler Herro and Bam Adebayo in their ranks. Enough said, we’ll have to wait and watch which team comes out on top as we near tip-off in South Florida.
