It all started when ex-adult star Moriah Mills claimed she was pregnant with Williamson. Her outlandish claims even escalated to online threats. All these troubles surfaced when the two-time All-Star announced his pregnancy with his girlfriend.

With his name being slandered, many were curious about his NBA future. Some reports claimed the Pelicans could look to offload him, citing his recent drama and recurring health concerns. During a trip to Las Vegas, a writer revealed some exclusive information he derived from reliable sources close to the franchise.

For Williamson, the baby mama fiasco was only the beginning. While several allegations of a similar nature kept flooding in, the 21-year-old also had to face a lawsuit. According to Fox News, he and his family were sued for $1.8 million for failing to pay back a loan. Ankr PBC alleges they lent the family $2 million in 2021, and have expected to be repaid since last August.

Williamson’s name has taken a serious hit due to the latest concerns surrounding him. Many have reasons to believe the Pelicans may decide to disassociate with the 2019 number one overall pick. To find out the authenticity of the looming rumors, The Athletic’s William Guillory took an educational trip to Las Vegas. There, he spoke to multiple insiders who can provide valuable information.

There, he stumbled across some contrasting opinions.

“During my time in Vegas, I heard opinions from a few folks who were all over the place when it comes to Williamson and his current value. I had one person associated with a team tell me New Orleans should pull the plug on his era while they have the chance this offseason. I had another person tell me he believes Williamson is going to be fueled by all the controversy this summer and become an MVP candidate in 2023-24” he wrote in The Athletic.

After healing from some of the damage, Zion Williamson candidly spoke on his struggles with dieting. He might be helpless regarding his social troubles, but the 21-year-old has addressed the murmurs around his health. Williamson has utilized the summer to get back in basketball shape.

So far, his career has been marred with injuries. Primarily, he has struggled to manage to find the right balance of weight and muscle for his 6’6″ frame. The freakish Duke forward has participated in just 114 games in his career. However, his explosive motor can’t be ignored.
