The Miami Heat are up against the Cleveland Cavaliers in tonight’s game at the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland. With tonight’s face-off, the Heat have reached the midpoint of their five-game road swing, while the Cavaliers will be playing a back-to-back just after defeating the 76ers yesterday. Riding on a five-game winning streak, the Cavs will be playing without Donovan Mitchell (shooting guard), as he is out owing to the right hamstring that he sustained in the matchup against the Philadelphia 76ers. However, the Heat themselves don’t seem healthy, with four players ruled out for tonight.

Let’s have a look at the injury report.

Bam Adebayo has registered a tally of at least 20 points in eight straight games this season and is riding on an average of 22.8 points, 10.2 rebounds, and 4.1 assists. The star center aggravated the hip bruise when he took a fall on it during the last game with the Chicago Bulls. The player, however, was present in the team’s morning shoot-around, only to feel discomfort afterward. After consultation with the medical staff, the administration staff took the decision to give the player some rest to recover. Hence, the star center won’t be playing in tonight’s game.

With Kevin Love out, the absence of Tyler Herro might seem a little concerning for the team. Herro is averaging 22.9 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 4.6 assists this season. The player suffered a Grade 2 ankle sprain on November 10th and is up for reevaluation later this month. The 2021–22 Sixth Man of the Year has never played more than 67 games in a season during his NBA career owing to injury concerns. Is he bound to add to the same trend this season as well?

R.J. Hampton is also ruled out for tonight, as he might be headed for an extended absence due to a knee injury he picked up in a game last week.

Miami Heat vs. Cleveland Cavaliers

The Miami Heat seem to be going full-throttle this season, standing at No. 4 in the Western Conference. While the team is running without Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro, it seems to be running consistently, with the rest of the stars stepping up. With Jimmy Butler and Thomas Bryant, the franchise might be able to tackle the Donovan Mitchell-less Cavs.
