Kelly Oubre Jr. was a pedestrian walking on the roads of Central City, Philadelphia when he was struck by an automobile. He was immediately rushed to the nearest hospital where he is currently being treated.

As per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, ?Philadelphia 76ers guard Kelly Oubre Jr. was a pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle in Center City, Philadelphia tonight and is receiving treatment at a local hospital, a Sixers spokesman tells ESPN. Oubre Jr., is currently in stable condition.?

Another update that followed was, ?Representatives from the team, including 76ers President Daryl Morey, are with Oubre Jr., at the hospital. He is expected to miss significant time due to his injuries, but those aren?t considered to be season-ending. Local authorities are investigating the incident.?

As per the updates, a few good things to take away are that Oubre Jr. is in stable condition and is not critical. His injuries will keep him off the court but not for an entire season. Moreover, he has team members and family present with him at the hospital.

Kelly Oubre Jr. has been averaging 16.3 PPG on 61.1% true shooting percentage. But his energy off the bench is something that his on-paper stats won?t justify. Oubre became a spark for the team when the starters needed to rest.
