Hip-hop has a long history of unique rivalries. In the nineties, the East Coast vs West Coast beef revealed a disturbing side of the music world. These days we are getting glimpses of a rivalry that is backed by the NBA stars. Kevin Durant?s friendship with Drake goes a long way, yet no one saw this coming.

For All the Dogs

This could be the first time that an NBA player gets an ?A&R? status in a rap record. In Drake?s new album, ?For All the Dogs,? Kevin Durant is credited with the title of ?Artist and Repertoire.? KD and Drake have been friends since his OKC days. According to him, Drake is the greatest rapper, and shows his appreciation by bringing in his NBA friends like LeBron, Booker, and Tatum to his concerts. Except for the 2019 NBA finals, this duo has had only great times together.

In one of Drake’s latest songs, ?8 am in Charlotte,? there are lyrics that the fans believe are directed at Ye. And now Jalen Williams, the rising star of OKC, gets a tattoo of the graduation bear to show his support to Kanye. The graduation bear appeared in West’s first two albums. In an Instagram post, a fan has commented that it was ?one of the greatest albums of all time.?

Ye is against all social norms that try to bottle up human beings. Thus, Kanye’s reaction to Drake’s diss is the only thing the fans are waiting for.

Suns and Thunder

OKC has a unique blend of young talents, and with the return of Chet Holmgren, they are poised to have an impact. On the other hand, the Phoenix Suns have brought in Bradley Beal to have a legitimate shot at the title. Once again, KD finds himself in a super team that could win it all.

While fans would be very patient with the OKC team, this is a ‘championship or bust’ season for the Suns.

If KD?s team delivers for Phoenix, this would add one more feather to his already decorated cap.
