LeBron James ditches controversially ditches the Olympics

King James has won almost everything there is to win in the sport of basketball. Additionally, he also has two Olympic Gold Medals with the United States National Team. A few weeks ago, it looked like James was in search of another medal. After all, The Athletic revealed that the 38-year-old is ready to commit to the national team. Moreover, he was also convincing players like Curry, Durant, and others.

During a recent rapid-fire session, James was asked to choose between a third gold medal and a fifth NBA title for himself. While many might have expected that he would choose a medal, the reality was different.

“Fifth NBA championship!”, said LeBron almost instantly. He is currently in his 21st NBA season and has been putting in a lot of work in the gym ahead of the start of the regular season. This choice by the NBA’s Leading Scorer of All Time comes just hours after another major Team USA update. Reigning MVP Joel Embiid has been chosen to represent the USA in the 2024 Olympics. The 7-foot tall 76ers superstar ditched offers from France and Cameroon in favor of the United States.

James also chose a three-pointer over a dunk

Whenever someone mentions a three-pointer in the NBA, Stephen Curry immediately comes to mind. Similarly, James is also known for his explosive dunks, especially during his younger days.

However, James seems to prefer a game-winning three-pointer over a game-winning dunk! When asked to choose between the two, the future NBA Hall of Famer chose the three-pointer almost instantly. Interestingly, he also chose to jump higher instead of running faster while also choosing to raise the next generation instead of raising the bar!
