Naturally, he is close friends with some athletes in the league. Recently, he appeared at a sneaker launch event which was hosted by Adidas for Anthony Edwards.

Hours after the rapper’s clips went viral across the internet, an interesting linkup between Edwards and Lil Baby has taken the internet by storm.

Anthony Edwards meets up with local hip-hop star

Atlanta has given some of the biggest names in hip-hop and sports over the years. Lil Baby and Anthony Edwards belong to the current generation of big names who are contributing to Atlanta’s huge success.

Recently, Edwards released his much-awaited first signature shoe. Adidas released the AE1 to much fanfare in Atlanta. The shoe will be available to other people around the country in the upcoming holiday season. Lil Baby had an enormous surprise under his sleeve for all the fans waiting to catch a glimpse of the exciting new sneaker. The ‘Freestyle’ hitmaker wore the new sneakers and performed some of his most famous songs.

With this sneaker launch, the Minnesota Timberwolves youngster marks his official entry into the sneaker world. A clause in his contract promised a signature shoe once he makes the NBA All-Star team. Averaging 24.6 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 4.4 assists last season, Edwards made it to his first-ever All-Star game in 2023. This comes at a very successful time for the 22-year-old. He also got his own mural in Atlanta during his sneaker launch.
